About Chiyomi Taneike Longo
"[Chiyomi Taneike Longo] has worked out her own metaphor, taken from Japanese tradition for, as she put it, 'the way the mind works.' The artist must study in order to be free."

Meet Chiyomi
The mixed-medium paintings of Chiyomi Taneike Longo maps multiple dialogs of the relationships between nature and the build environment. The artist's command of formal language and expression of complexity are expressed in ink - or industrial spillages, bisected or parceled off compositions, marks as journey's taken, areas, or territories burnt, printed matter, or meaning that is waterlogged, images that surface, or structures, that hold impossible.
Longo's abstract paintings utilize formal language to totalize the consequential replationships between nature and humanity.
